The Family Alliance for Development and Cooperation (FADECO) is a grassroots development organization founded in 1993 in Karagwe, Tanzania. FADECO empowers rural communities by integrating agriculture, environment, technology, and media, creating sustainable and inclusive solutions that address the real needs of farmers, youth, and women. Its flagship initiatives including FADECO Bio-Crops Ltd, FADECO Community Radio, the FADECO Innovation Hub, and the Eden Centre for Appropriate Technology equip communities with tools, training, and market access to improve livelihoods, strengthen resilience, and protect the environment.
Fields of Work:
Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security: Climate-smart farming, organic agriculture, post-harvest innovations, and farmer empowerment.
Renewable Energy & Climate Action: Solar energy, fuel-saving technologies, energy conservation, and environmental protection initiatives.
ICT for Development & Innovation: Community telecentres, digital hubs, ICT training, and technology-driven solutions for rural communities.
Community Media & Civic Engagement: FADECO Community Radio, local storytelling, awareness campaigns, and participatory media programs.
Education, Youth & Women Empowerment: Skills development, training workshops, mentorship, and leadership programs.
Tasks May Include:
Assisting in community training programs for agriculture, renewable energy, or ICT initiatives.
Supporting research and documentation of local knowledge, best practices, and program outcomes.
Helping with event coordination, workshops, or outreach activities for youth and women empowerment.
Contributing to content creation for FADECO Community Radio, social media, or educational materials.
Assisting in data collection, monitoring, and reporting for ongoing projects.
Providing technical or administrative support across FADECO programs and offices.
