Project Title: Empowering Communities Through Climate Action for Sustainable Livelihoods
This project strengthens climate resilience and economic empowerment of rural communities in Karagwe District, Tanzania, by addressing climate change, energy access, and livelihoods. It targets farmers, women, and children through training in climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy solutions particularly tubular biogas systems and environmentally sustainable business practices. Households are supported to adopt biogas technology, reducing reliance on firewood and charcoal, lowering deforestation, improving health, and easing the burden on women and children. Community radio programs and outreach campaigns raise climate awareness and promote local action. The project aims to increase crop yields by 30%, improve food security, create green income opportunities, and build long-term climate resilience.

Installation of Panda Cookers inSchools in Karagwe
This clean energy initiative project in Karagwe District, which supports the installation of fuel-efficient Panda Cookers in secondary schools and institutions such as Rugu, Nyakasimbi, Kajunguti, and Rwambaizi among others. Many schools rely on traditional cooking methods that consume large amounts of firewood and expose students and staff to harmful smoke. Panda Cookers significantly reduce firewood use while producing minimal emissions, creating a healthier and safer cooking environment. This initiative helps lower pressure on local forests, reduce carbon emissions, and cut fuel costs for schools. By promoting clean cooking solutions in learning institutions, the project supports environmental conservation, improved health, and more sustainable school operations for the long term.
