Program Coordinator
Jorida Faustine is a journalist and program coordinator at FADECO, encompassing both its NGO initiatives and FADECO Community Radio (100.8 FM) in Karagwe, Tanzania. She has been recognized for her impactful reporting, notably as the 1st runner-up in the 2018 Biofortification Excellence in Journalism Awards for Tanzania, organized by the International Potato Center (CIP), for raising awareness about biofortified crops and their role in combating hidden hunger.
In her dual role, Jorida coordinates programs across FADECO’s development initiatives, bridging field realities with strategic program design to ensure projects are both practical and impactful. She works closely with community members and partners, including collaborations with organizations like Mamaland Mushroom Farms, to promote sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and livelihood improvement in rural communities.
Her work combines storytelling, media, and program leadership, making her a key driver of FADECO’s mission to empower communities through development, education, and inclusive media.
