Daniel Comboni
Executive Director
Daniel Comboni Mtabazi received his BA in Social Sciences majoring in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies and minoring in Sociology from Makerere University , with a focus on International Development, where he discovered his passion for travel and connecting with people and communities across the world. Inspired by the pioneering work of his father, Joseph Sekiku, Daniel is committed to continuing FADECO’s legacy of empowering rural communities through sustainable development, climate resilience, and inclusive media.
As the Executive Director of FADECO, Comboni oversees day-to-day operations and strategic planning. With a strong background in community development and organizational leadership, he ensures that FADECO’s programs deliver meaningful and sustainable impact, while empowering local voices and fostering innovation.
He is also the founder of MediaTechClub.Africa, a platform for digital innovation in journalism and civic storytelling. As a member of the Ashoka Fellows Legacy Network, Comboni is part of a global community of changemakers working to scale social impact. His work bridges traditional community radio with cutting-edge media innovation, creating opportunities for youth, farmers, and underserved groups to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
