We have exposed over 100 farmers and youths to opportunities and knowledge outside Kagera. FADECO aims to create a calibre of bold, informed, confident and engaged youth ready to solve issues that matter to them through innovative means. Due to our partnership with local and international partners, we have conducted capacity building training and cultural exchange to build the skills of women, youths and farmers in the region.
Through FADECO Radio, we are forging partnership and implementing effective and cheaper means of disseminating useful information to farmers, women and youths in Kagera region. All audio programming and content are sourced from local and international partners and localised to fit the needs and context of our region.
Since 2012, our Nyakasimbi Maarifa center has provided Internet and other necessary technologies in the remote Nyakasimbi village. The centre has evolved over the years to be a centre of excellence for piloting new technologies of farming and entrepreneurship. Also, the centre provides short courses and training for vocational skills like carpentry, agriculture, computer and entrepreneurship.

I learned how to design Solar Fruit Dryers and conducted workshops to train farmers in this process as a method of preserving harvests to prevent famine and as an extra source of income.
