Who We Are As FADECO

Family Alliance for Development and Cooperation (FADECO) is a service organisation local Non Government Organization (NGO) registered under the Societies Ordinance of the United Republic of Tanzania on 27th Feb. 1996 with Registration No. SO 8737 with a charity status (not-for profit). It is Non Denominational, non sectarian and non political organization. It is strictly a humanitarian and ecumenical Development organization.

Our Mission

To stimulate rural development by facilitating access to and dissemination of information, learning resources and communication technologies in Karagwe district; and to become the leading community radio contributing to the economic and social development of the Karagwe Communities and the nation at large.

A happy and prosperous community which is knowledgeable about current affairs and news around themselves at all times and is actively involved in day to day development undertakings.

Sustainable Agriculture

We commit to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture in Kagera Region

Climate Education & Awareness

Educating and empowering young minds to take action against climate change.

Radio Station

FADECO Community Radio (FRC 100.8 FM) is located in Karagwe/Kagera Region (Northwest Tanzania), and became operational in 2007. FADECO Community Radio is intended to be used by the community in Karagwe, to effect sustainable rural socio-economic development. The station reaches about six million listeners

Eco Tourism

FADECO promotes eco-tourism through beekeeping and offers unique experiences via Airbnb. By showcasing sustainable practices, we educate visitors, support local economies, and contribute to environmental conservation while providing memorable stays that highlight the importance of pollinators.

Innovations Hub

The Eden centre for appropriate technology is a dream come true for Karagwe communities. Established in 2007, the centre has a goal of promoting appropriate rural technologies and land rehabilitation through demonstrations, by availing information resources and community empowerment
